RECORD OF ANNUAL MEETING OF RENDLESHAM W.I. HELD AT ST FELIX CHURCH ON TUESDAY 20TH NOVEMBER 2007
PRESENT 20 members and 2 guests attended.
BALLOT FOR COMMITTEE Members were given a final opportunity to put their names forward with a view to joining the committee. As there were no further volunteers a ballot was not required and Jenny Fitton was welcomed onto the committee. The opportunity was taken to thank Jan Gregory who is standing down for her hard work over the last two years.
THE RECORD of the meeting held on 16th October was taken as read and signed.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS
1)Members were advised that there are sufficient funds available for all members to continue to receive SEFWI News free of charge for the forthcoming year.
2)Suggestions were sought for outings for next year.
PRESENTATION AND ADOPTION OF THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT
Total receipts for the year were £2627.46. Total payments were £2038.45. The year end bank balance was £1379.53 with £33.47 petty cash. The Treasurer proposed the adoption of the financial statement and the motion was carried.
APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER FOR COMING YEAR
It was proposed and agreed that Jenny Pearson would continue in this role
THE COMMITTEE’S ANNUAL REPORT
The Secretary read out the Committee’s annual report highlighting our involvement in Federation as well as local and fund raising events
THE PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS AND ADOPTION OF THE ANNUAL REPORT
The president thanked the members for their participation in events during the last year and the committee for their hard work. She then proposed the adoption of the Committee’s Annual Report which was carried.
WRITTEN NOMINATIONS AND SECRET BALLOT FOR PRESIDENT
The result of the secret ballot was that Maureen was re-elected as President for a further year.
TALK, REFRESHMENTS AND DRAW
There was no Speaker this month but several members exhibited fine examples of craft work. Thanks to Gill Carr, Ann Shaw and Joan Randall for preparing the refreshments.
THE NEXT MEETING will take place on Tuesday 18th December at 7 p.m. The Speaker will be Mark Nowers from the RSPB
